159pp, with many illustrations in line. Contents very clean and in good order: plus (or except that) the illustration on p.13 has been tastefully coloured-in with watercolour (see photo). Minor bubbling to pastedowns. In the original binding of pale green cloth, faded to top and lower edges, and to spine ends; front illustration and spine title in red. In the protected unclipped scarce pictorial dust jacket: there are fine lines from former creases to the top and bottom edges and to the spine, and, affecting the pictorial surface, there are 2cm chips to the head and the foot of the spine, and a smaller one to the front upper corner. The back panel (publishers' list) also has some edge damage, including a couple of closed tears. However, the jacket has been professionally made good, making this an attractive and unusually complete copy of Monica Edwards' first book.
