BAR NONE THE RAREST OF THE 1940s/1950s U.S. AGATHA CHRISTIE 1STS - THERE WAS NO SIMILAR U.K. EDITION (SO THIS BOOK IS COLLECTED BY UK CHRISTIE COLLECTORS) AND THIS IS A COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES AND AS A RESULT WAS PRINTED IN MUCH SMALLER QUANTITIES THAN CHRISTIE'S ANNUAL NOVELS. Book has just a couple of creased page corners, no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight dust soiling/age darkening to outer page edges, faint evidence of glue line to inside front board where former DJ protector was only spot glued down otherwise clean endpapers with no soiling or staining, no splitting to internal hinges, no spine lean, no wear to board edges or board corners, slight wear to spine tips, no spine sun fading/darkening, no rubbing to spine lettering, no handling/dust soiling to boards, no soiling or discoloration to boards, no bumped board corners. Dust jacket has chipping loss at top/bottom of spine, repaired tears to flap creases with some losses and staining from prior scotch tape (long since fallen off), otherwise just slight edge wear, no spine sun fading, almost no color rubbing to front panel which is quite nice, hint of dust rubbing to white rear panel, no soiling or staining. Overall a VG+/FINE- book in GD/GD+ condition dust jacket (not price clipped) of an extremely rare 1940s era Agatha Christie 1st printing. I have a number of other U.K. and U.S. Agatha Christie 1st printing hardcover books up for sale.
