A truly unique copy of the author's acclaimed first book. The book's design features a small drawing of a raven that is used as a graphic device between sections within a chapter (probably based on the image of a raven turning the pages of a book, which comes at the end of the first chapter). In this copy, the book's designer has drawn a larger version of the same image in pencil on the recto of the rear free endsheet, and noted under her signature the time and place of the original design.
