First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 221pp + [ii] publisher's advertisements. Red textured boards, lettered in black at the spine and with a black stamped border to the upper board. With a photographic portrait frontispiece, seven captioned black and white plates, and two illustrations in the text. Free endpapers very lightly toned. A little toning to the margins of the paperstock, and a little light spotting to a dozen preliminary and concluding leaves. Tiny dealer plate to the base of the rear pastedown and a former owner name to the front free endpaper. A very good copy. No dust wrapper. Uncommon. Seller Inventory # ARC93701
