The major confrontations between government and the media over the 'Real Lives' and 'Death on the Rock' programmes are covered, together with comprehensive details of censorship by both Irish and British governments. The book also includes accounts of how loyalists, republicans and women are represented in the media, material on the press in the United States, the BBC's 'Style Guide', and more. The Northern Ireland Media Reader is an indispensable resource for those interested in the representation and management of the conflict in the North of Ireland.
