First edition, first printing of Booker T. Washington's sequel to Up From Slavery in the exceedingly scarce dust jacket. Bound in publisher's ribbed maroon cloth with titles stamped in gilt. Near Fine with slight oxidation to gilt lettering and several hinged throughout slightly over-opened. Minor binding error beginning as a crease to the front paste down and progressively diminishing until about page 40. In a Near Fine dust jacket with wear at the extremities, small chips, trivial stains to top edge of front panel, toning and small abrasion to the spine panel. Seller Inventory # 140944347
