Here is an attractive volume of the good Dean's "Letters." An early edition, Volume XVII only from a set. Nice smooth tree calf binding; five raised bands on the spine; red and black labels, with titling and decorations in gilt. Clean text; x, 274 pages. Rubbed at the corners and the head and foot of the spine; the black label is mostly gone, with "XVI" peeking through a bit. The text is generally excellent - very bright, clear, easily readable today. There is some browning to the edges of the endpapers, also affecting the Title Page. Despite these flaws, it presents very well. Size: 12mo - over 6�" - 7�" tall. Seller Inventory # 004649
