Double-columned text (with footnotes) covers all his major works (fiction and non-fiction) including various papers on religion, morals literature, etc, "Memoirs of Captain John Creighton", "The Bickerstaff Papers" and "Directions to Servants" as well as poems. Book is bound in full leather, five raised bands, leather label, all edges gilt, gilt lettering on spine label, gilt designs on spine, gilt borders to both panels. Some rubbing to most edges, spine ends, corners and folds. Bookplate on front paste-down of Russel Wilson Chatham. Marbleized end-papers. Swift is accredited as the Dean of St. Patrick's, Dublin. Subtitle on first title page: Carefully selected with a life (40 pp) of the author and authentic notes. 608 pp., looks authentically old. Nice copy.
