"First Edition" on the copyright page, 1st printing code "V32" (August 1980) on page 248, and publisher's $10.95 issue price on jacket front flap.NOT a remainder. (No remainder spray on the bottom of its page block.) This book is in near fine condition, marred only by light bumps on its spine ends. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn, with unfaded red titles on its spine. Pages are unmarked and unworn. NOT a remainder. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in near fine condition, whole and unmarked, marred only by the light bump on the top of its spine, but otherwise unworn. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description.

There is a preface by Stuart Schiff and an introduction by Fritz Leiber. Some of the stories include Stephen King's "Jerusalem's Lot" which would later become the novel "Salem's Lot", Harlan Ellison's "The Whimper of Whipped Dogs", Ray Bradbury's "The October Game" and two by Fritz Leiber: "Smoke Ghost" and "Belsen Express".
There is also work by Manly Wade Wellman, Frank Belknap Long, Dennis Etchison, Karl Edward Wagner and others. Also included is a section of black and white illustrations by Tim Kirk and Stephen Fabian.
"Synopsis" may belong to another edition of this title.

Shipping terms
- Items will be carefully packaged to assure they arrive as described.
- All shipments will be via US Postal Service unless requested otherwise. Standard shipping within the USA will be via USPS Media Mail. Priority shipping within the USA will be via USPS First Class Mail.
- My current Standard shipping rate within the USA is US$4.00 for the first book, and US$2.00 for additional books in the same order.
- There are two situations where I will refund to the buyer a portion of the postage charged by ABEBOOKS: (1) Separate orders placed on the same date for shipment to the same address will be shipped together, so I will refund half of the postage paid for the first book in each such second and subsequent order. And (2) Books described as "paperbacks" in my descriptions weigh less than other books, so I will refund US$1.00 of the paid shipping fee for the 2nd and subsequent paperbacks in the same order shipping to the same address.
