First edition, with first issue points described in Younger and Hirsch, hardcover, front end pages and all pages in the text block have been filled in, primarily in pencil, but a few spots have colored pencil, and there are a few stray doodles and scribbles to the pages, along with the previous owner's self portrait to last blank page. Otherwise a Fair only copy with heavy bumps to the spine ends that do not affect the pages, short splits to the paper at the spine ends and cover corners, two dings to the left side of the spine, light soiling to the covers with sparse foxing to the edges, and some light tanning to the spine and edges.
