Writers' Forum is an independent noncommercial magazine featuring contemporary American literature with an emphasis upon Western American literature and is published by the University of Colorado. This periodical issue, No. 13 Fall 1987, consisted of an Editorial section, Western Writers Series, Special Feature, Fiction, Poetry and Notes on Staff and Contributors. The Western Writers Series in this issue is by Ruben Martinez and is about Rudolfo Anaya's trip to China in May 1984. This article includes Martinez' comments about the trip and his lengthy interview with Anaya.
