THIS WAS DEAN KOONTZ'S FIRST HARDCOVER BOOK PUBLISHED UNDER HIS OWN NAME. RARE BOOK TO FIND IN HIGH GRADE - TRY TO FIND A COPY THAT (A) IS A 1ST PRINTING, AND (B) IS FREE FROM UNDERLINING/HIGHLIGHTING.

NOTE - THERE IS AN ENTIRE CHAPTER ON WRITING "EROTICA" BOOKS AND KOONTZ QUOTES FROM SEVERAL OF HIS OWN "ADULT" BOOKS AND THEN LISTS SEVERAL TITLES OF HIS OWN "ADULT" BOOKS THAT HE NOW DENIES EVER HAVING WRITTEN.

Book has no creased page corners, no foxing to pages or endpapers, slight dust soiling to outer page edges (very faint drop spot with foxing to top outer page edge), no hinge splits, clean endpapers with no scotch tape residue marks or other discoloration, no former owner's markings or used bookstore stamps inside AND NO UNDERLINING/HIGHLIGHTING OF ANY OF THE TEXT, no wear to board edges or corners, or to spine tips, no bumped board corners.

Dust jacket has no chipping, tearing or creasing, barest hint of wear to spine tips, almost no wear to front flap crease, no age yellowing to white rear panel, no dust soiling, almost no color rubbing, no soiling or staining, no edge wear, very slight spine sun fading.

Overall a FINE-/N-FINE book in FINE- condition dust jacket (partially price clipped) of a rare Dean Koontz first printing hardcover book. I have a number of other U.S. and U.K. Dean Koontz 1st printing hardcover/paperback/magazine appearances up for sale.
