From 1987 through 1993, golfer Paul Azinger was one of the leading money winners on the pro tour, but he was tagged as "the most successful player to never win a major." It was an unpleasant burden, but one that vanished when he won the 1993 PGA title. Just as his professional life crested, he received devastating news--the nagging tendinitis in his shoulder was actually cancer. In his pain, he turned to religion, and Christianity played a large role in his subsequent recovery. His religious faith continues as the cornerstone of his life, but this autobiography is about much more than Azinger's ongoing religious experience. Azinger's anecdotes and behind-the-scenes tales of life on the pro tour will keep readers entertained, and his play-by-play accounts of his successes--usually deadly dull in sports bios--are okay, too.
