Item description from seller

Poor copy in contemporary full black calf boards, both now detached, substantially scuffed and edgeworn. Corners bumped, with spine worn, gilt-tooled and showing minor loss to the endbands. Gilt edges still charming, stamped with a repeating ribbon motif. Despite faults, an internally strong and well-preserved example overall. Physical description; xiii, 726 pages : illustrations, frontispiece, engraved borders ; 27 cm. Notes; Illustrations engraved by W.L. Thomas. Date conjectural. Subjects; Martyrs, Christian, history. Christian martyrs, Protestant. Reformation, England, history. Church history, England, 16th century. Foxe, John, Acts and monuments. 1 Kg.
