a collection of the proverbs of all nations compared explained and illustrated

This is a nifty old book well worn all over the covers but intact and can read the gilt lettering. Inscription on the front end page reads, "Presented to Richard Downing on his 15th birthday August 20, 1913 By his grandfather John E. Leet, who received it as a present from his mother 44 years ago when a student at Kentucky University. Keep it-Use it." Inside hinges are split but holding, all pages have old damp stains top bottom or both but no smell or sign of mold the stains look very old. All text perfectly readable and clear.
