The first appearance in print of this Heaney poem, which was subsequently revised and included in his collection 'Wintering Out' (1972). Other contributors of original verse include Ted Hughes (his poem 'Apple Tragedy'), Stevie Smith (her poem 'Cock-a-Doo'), George MacBeth, Peter Redgrove, Lee Harwood, Michael Hamburger, Edward Lucie-Smith, Jon Silkin and William Plomer. 2,000 copies were printed.
