Octavo. 27, [1], [8 (ads)] pp., map, illus. First edition. In original printed wrappers. Wrappers have been taped on and are toned and chipped; a bit of early dampstaining to the bottom margin of the first several leaves, otherwise internally fairly nice, including the map. A subsequent edition was issued in 1869, it too is uncommon in commerce. Dornbusch does not have an entry for the first edition. Dornbusch III, 1797 (for the 1869 edition); Sabin 61217; Petersburg Checklist 485.
