Exterior in very nice shape, clean & tight, original front wrap chipped & repaired w/ stiff card, title & first page of preface have neat paper repairs, interior tanned & foxed, smudges, period pencil markings, p. 175-6 has a long chip torn from fore edge (affecting text), small ink mark affecting fore edges of pages 85-174, still a nice copy of a SCARCE title.
