Top edge a little darkened and one page was unevenly trimmed. Text is clean and unmarked. Jacket is edge worn with chipping to top and base of spine and a 2x2 1/2" flat at base of spine, some darkening. A very attractive copy in a decent jacket.Author's first novel. Set in 1919, "the story is woven around the adventures and romance in the lives of a young mining engineer, who accepted the 'challenge' to rehabilitate a badly organized iron-mining operation in the Adirondacks, and a young, vivacious social-minded community nurse, who had been engaged to improve the morale of the mining town."; 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
