First edition in book form, 8vo, pp. 368, [2]; frontispiece; original green cloth boards; gilt on boards worn, corners bumped, shallow tide staining at corners, not touching text, very good. A travel account originally published in Rees's own Illinois State Register, and retaining the formatting (and likely the plates) of the original newspaper series, with the text only about 2 inches wide on the page. The Rees's trip to the Orient includes Japan, China and the Philippines.
