Indenture, 1726, Somerset. Legal agreement between William Parker (taylor) and John Lockier (shoe maker), concerning the property around a cottage and right of passage. Written in black ink on parchment, oblong, 55x71 cm. To authenticate multiple copies of legal documents like this one, all copies were placed on top of each other and a wavy pattern was cut along to top edge, marking evey copy at once with an identical indenture. Hence the name. With red wax seal and some payment seals in the margin and on the back. Seller Inventory # 69479
