The Fourth edition, 1724. Bound in full brown period calf, spine eith raised bands, covers bordered with twin gilt fillets (quite rubbed, front cover detached; some toning to text). PROVENANCE: With an ink note (a long quote from Benjamin Franklin about Lyons, with signature removed and date of 1847) on front pastedown; there are 3 pencil notes on front free endpaper in the same hand, including one reading: 'I reviewed briefly this vol. in the Philobiblion Vol. I C.M.S.'; pencil signature of William [Berman?] on front endpaper. A scarce early edition.
