The logistics of Brazilian agribusiness: A study of the current level of logistics service in Brazilian agribusiness

One of the major concerns of all companies today is cost management, and logistics is an important tool for reducing excessive costs and increasing competitiveness. Logistics brings together various activities that all have a common objective, which is to optimise resources and materials in essential activities such as planning, procurement, storage and distribution. Logistics costs are a large part of the cost of the final product to the consumer, so better management of available resources in order to reduce costs can mean the difference for a company's survival. It's clear to see how important logistics is when we analyse all the processes involved, as we can see that every day we see the growth of large urban centres, the distance between suppliers and distributors, farms and ports, together with the need to reduce costs and the loss of products along the way, well-organised logistics makes the whole sector develop and grow over time.
