About the Author

Otto B. Kraus naci� el 1 de septiembre de 1921 en Praga, Checoslovaquia. �l y su familia fueron deportados en mayo de 1942 al gueto de Terez�n y desde ah� a Auschwitz, donde Otto se convirti� en uno de los consejeros del bloque de los ni�os. Despu�s de la guerra, conoci� a Dita Kraus, una de las ni�as supervivientes de aquel bloque n�mero 31 y se convirtieron en buenos amigos. Se casaron en 1947 y tuvieron dos hijos y una hija. Otto muri� el 5 de octubre de 2000.
