In 1952, Literary Buenos Aires appeared, a synthesis achieved by a conscious effort, mature and eager for endurance. It was not a combat magazine or externalized aesthetic predilections or doctirnas. Its pages contain valuable bibliographic and critical information, stories, poems and unpublished essays by the most popular Argentine and foreign writers. Andr�s Ram�n V�zquez was in charge of the direction, advised by a writing body in which Enrique Anderson Imbert, Ana Mar�a Barrenechea, Julio Cort�zar, Daniel Devoto, Roberto Di Pasquale, Jos� Luis Romero, Pepita Sabor, Alberto Mario Salas, Gregorio Santos Hernando and Oscar Uboldi. In the eighteen editions (until March 1954) he published collaborations with Amado Alonso, Raimundo Lida, Bernardo Canal Feij�o, Jorge Luis Borges, Mar�a Hortensia Lacau, Juan Ram�n Jim�nez, Jorge Guill�n, Vicente Fatone, Rafael Alberto Arrieta and Francisco Romero. Their homage numbers, dedicated to G�iraldes (number 2), Macedonio Fern�ndez (number 9) and Pedro Salinas (number 13) have exceptional bibliographic value.
