Red cloth, lettered and ruled in black at the upper board. Comprises the following issues: Vol. 1, no. 1 August 1914; Vol 1, no. 3 October 1914; Vol 2, no. 5 June 1915; Vol. 2 no. 6, July 1915; and Vol. 3, no. 1 August 1915, each retaining the original front and rear wrappers. The cloth binding somewhat rubbed, shaken and a little faded. The endpapers toned and dust soiled with some creasing; the contents lightly spotted and soiled in places. Good. Various contributors including Isaac Rosenberg's poems 'Heart's First Word', 'A Girl's Thoughts', and 'Wedded'; a black and white sketch by H.Gaudier Brzeska plus his brief obituary; a colour reproduction of C.R.W.Nevinson's magnificent 'Returning to the Trenches' (here bafflingly accredited to 'G.R.G.Nevinson'); three poems by Compton Mackenzie; reproductions of paintings by Frank Brangwyn, Charles Ricketts ('The Descent from the Cross'), and Randolph Schwabe; several short poems by Francis Bickley; a review of the 59th exhibition of the Royal Photographic Society by E.O.Hoppé; and a Nina Hamnett portrait of Louis Mcquilland.
