Three original early issues of Country Life Magazine dated the 4th, 11th & 18th July 1963 featuring main articles on Powderham Castle, Devon (parts 1,2 &3), The Seat of the Earl of Devon, with 4 page write ups including black and white photographic illustrations of the property, interior and exterior. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was at that time. These issues are in very good condition with lovely portrait frontispieces of Miss Henrietta Lawrence, Miss Ann Hoblyn and Lady Melissa Bligh.
