Two original early issues of Country Life Magazine dated 24th & 31st of January 1963 featuring main articles on Encombe, Dorset (parts 1 & 2), The Home of LT. Col. and Mrs. Harold Scott, with 4 page write ups including black and white photographic illustrations of the property, interior and gardens. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was at that time. These issues are in very good condition with lovely portrait frontispieces of Miss Olivia Gray and Miss Teresa Buckingham.
