Offered is an incomplete run of 21 issues of the "Jewish Newsletter: Independent Thinking on Jewish Problems" for the years 1953 (Volume IX, 9 issues) and 1954 (Vol. X, 12 issues) edited and published by William Zukerman out of New York City . The issues are three-hole-punched and collected in a two-piece Accopress Binder secured with a narrow metal clasp (the issues can be removed); pasted to the front cover is a label for The American Council for Judaism on which it is typed: "JEWISH NEWSLETTER - 1953-1954 - (Many issues missing)." The issues are left-folded, printed back-to-back, and contain four pages each, with the exception of Vol. IX No. 22 which contains six pages. The issues for the years 1953 and 1954 were published bi-weekly, so this collection contains 9 issues of approximately 26 published for 1953, and 12 issues of approximately 26 published for 1954. The issues present are as follows: Vol. IX No. 16 (August 3, 1953), 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 (December 7, 1953) and Vol. X No. 2 (January 18, 1954), 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16, and 19 (October 4, 1954).
