An original early issue of Country Life Magazine dated August 22nd 1963 featuring a main article on Barra Castle in Aberdeenshire, The Home of Mrs. Quentin Irvine, a 4 page write up with black and white photographic illustrations of the House, interior, exterior and plans of the castle. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the House (interior and exterior) as it was at that time. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontipiece of Lady Elizabeth Montgomerie. Seller Inventory # 006293
