1790 Large original copper engravedantique map titledTo Sr COLDISLEY SHOUELL Rear ADMll of the BLEW, This Chart of the Coast of WALES is humbly Dedicated and Presented by Capt Green CollinsAn fine example of this large engraved Sea Chart map showing the Welsh coast from Pembroke through Milford Haven, Cardigan Bay and up to Anglesey. Large Compass Rose, Rhumb Linesand decorativecartouche.This map was created by the maritime Cartographer, Captain Greenvile Collins. Collins was an officer of the Royal Navy and prominent hydrographer who was commissioned by King Charles II in 1676 and appointed by Samuel Pepys (then secretary to the Admiralty) to chart the Coasts of Great Britain and the result was his Great Britains Coasting Pilot.This map is in excellent condition withcentral fold as issued. Overall size approx 62cmx 50cm.

All items offered via AbeBooks are offered, subject to availability and to prior sale.

All orders can be cancelled and refunded in full before the items are shipped and us paying for the appropriate shipping service.
Once items have been shipped, any item can be returned to us - at the expense of the buyer - for a full refund if you are not satisfied for any reason, as long as we are notified in writing with 30 days from the date of receipt. Refunds are limited to the original purchase price & including initial delivery costs and will be applied once the goods have been received back and in the same condition as originally sent.
