From: Atlas Delamarche, Géographie Ancienne et Moderne, Paris, France, 1850. In good condition, with minor rubbing and wear to edges and corners. Cartographer Alexandre Delamarche (1815-1884) was a French hydrographer, meteorologist and cartographer, son of the famous Felix Delamarche (October 20, 1779, Paris 1835), a French publisher and cartographer. Map of Egypt and Israel, Palestine or Holy Land from time of Biblical Moses to the reigns of David and Solomon. It covers from Eygpt to modern day Syria and includes the Island of Cyprus.
