The map covers the area from Chicago all the way to a number of points on the Pacific Coast, including Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois, to Texas, Mexico, and the Gulf of Mexico. The route of the ATSF is in red with all stops along its way marked and labeled.Other existing rail lines of the time are also shown and labeled, including the Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, and the Western Pacific. All the important cities and towns through which these rail lines pass are also labeled. The Grand Canyon is clearly depicted in Arizona, with the Grand Canyon Railway, later purchased by the ATSF, providing transportation for visitors to it.Condition: This folding map is in A condition with bright colors and no tears or fold separations. New World Cartographic specializes in rare, authentic maps, prints, posters, and other collectible paper from the 15th to 20th century. We are based in Chicago, IL with a gallery location that is open by appointment in the Bridgeport Art Center. The owner of New World Cartographic is Sammy Berk who has been active as both a dealer and a map fair promoter / organizer since 2010. In addition to New World Cartographic, Mr. Berk also operates The Vintage Map Shop, which specializes in fine print reproductions of original antique maps and prints.
