It appeared in the atlas published by Taylor and her husband entitled "Our U.S.A. - a Gay Geography", with the maps done by Ruth and the text by her husband Frank.The map provides local color and flavor, depicting cultural stereotypes, industries and activities of the state. Mountains, volcanoes and river systems are included. Taylor uses multiple iconic figures to describe the various cultural traditions and economic activities in The Territory. The image includes countless representations of wildlife including bears, Santa s reindeer, moose, rabbits, etc., all are depicted inland. A wide variety of species of fish inhabit the seas, along with seals, walruses, otters, whales, crabs, etc.The territory of the 1894 Gold Rush is depicted just south of the Yukon River, and another area to the east copper mining is indicated. Eskimos are well-represented with igloos, a sledge and dog team, and one brave fellow waving to a Russian compatriot across the Bering Strait.
