Produced in 1948, Blondel la Rougery s map is a wonderful example of pictorial cartography.Showing the 10 provinces of Canada and two out of three territories (Nunavut had not yet been separated from Northwest Territories), the map highlights important cities like Montréal, Vancouver, and Edmonton. On the borders of the print are vignettes of historical scenes and figures. Featured on the left side of the print is an illustration of Jacques Cartier s 1534 expedition of Newfoundland and the St. Lawrence river. Also pictured is Samuel de Champlain s 1603 expedition to the St. Lawrence, Marquis de Montcalm, and the rugged landscapes of Canada.The map is in full color with beautiful detail and finely produced illustrations. Most of our material is shipped rolled in a sturdy tube that is then packed in a rectangular box. Any items shipped flat will be reinforced to prevent being bent during shipping. We typically ship via UPS ground for domestic buyers (within the United States) and either UPS, DHL, or USPS International Priority for shipments outside of the United States.
