Atrebatum Regionis vera descriptio.Copperplate engraving/etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Sheet size: 40,5 x 31,5 cm. Image size: 31,3 x 23,5 cm. This map originates from the 1613 edition of 'Discrittione di tutti i Paesi Bassi', by L. Guicciardini, published by J. Blaeu. We carry most maps from this book which was published from 1581-1648.Made by an anonymous engraver after Lodovico Guicciardini. Lodovico Guicciardini (1521-1589): an Italian merchant from aristocratic descent.Condition: Very good, given age. Original middle fold as issued. Pictura Prints offers mostly antique prints, art, maps and books. Since 2004 the owner Peter Cornelissen started Theprintscollector and has been in business as a print and book seller. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).…
