In the lower left corner is a contemporary Prussian duty stamp.A faint patch of damp staining in the lower right corner otherwise fine condition, free of repairs or restoration. Centre fold as issued. Approx. 14" x 12" (360mm x 310mm) map area only, with good margins beyond. Printed on hand laid paper which remains stable and robust, blank verso. Please see also close up images.Leonhard Euler (1707 -1783) was a Swiss mathematician who produced several atlases for educational purposes. Most of his working life was spent in Russia and Germany and he was said to have been tutored in cartography by the French mapmaker Delisle whilst at St. Petersburg Academy.
