An elaborate title cartouche includes a dedication from Collins to Captain Ralph Sanderson.The coverage includes Bridlington, Scarborough, Hartlepool, Flamborough Head, Hornsea, Sewerby (Shursbey) with north orientated to the right.The detail includes soundings, shoals, rocks and anchorages as well as settlements ashore, including individual buildings. A crisp dark impression on robust hand laid paper, with central fold as issued, blank verso.Fine condition other than some light age soiling as seen and a few nicks to the extremities.Approx. 23" x 20" (590mm x 500mm) overall.
