Antique print, titled: 'Carte Reduite de l'Entree de la Mer d'Irlande et du Canal de Bristol.' - A chart of the Celtic Sea, with St. George's Channel and the Bristol Channel. The map shows depth sounding and places along the coast, as well as the large sand bank 'Nymph's Bank'. Description: Published by the Depot General de la Marine in 'An VI', 1797-1798.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Francois d'Houdan' after an anonymous artist. Francois D'Houdan (1748-1828) was a French geographical engraver. Engraving on hand laid paper. Anonymous. Good, given age. Original middle fold, as issued. Small stains and faint dampstaining in the lower margin. Left margin faintly browned and a small stain in the top margin. Faint offsetting (where the map was folded over itself). Creasing along the middle fold. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 21.9 x 16.8 cm.
