Antique print, titled: 'La ville de Deventer.' - Map of the town Deventer. From "Les delices des Pays-Bas." by Jean Christijn. Deventer. Engraving on Laid paper. Watermark: Coat of arm with a lion Made by 'Jacobus Harrewijn' after own design. Jacobus Harrewijn (1660-1727): Dutch engraver and etcher of topographical and decorative prints. Born in Amsterdam, died in Brussels. He was a pupil of the famous Romeyn de Hooghe. Married in Amsterdam in 1683. He became a master in the guild in Brussels in 1695 and he is known to have worked in The Hague in 1727. Good, given age. Thread margins, with folds as published. Some browning in top and left margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 22.3 x 16.2 cm.
