Original 1" to the mile Ordnance Survey of Scotland. Composite map from sheets 93.94,102,103 dated July 1881. The Braemore Estate has been demarcated in a red wash. The map is mounted on linen and dissected in purple leather covers with label "Braemore" Scale 1" to the statute mile and has handwritten: "Sir John Franklin - private copy" - was he an owner or did he hire the shooting? - needs further research. In very good unmarked condition. The Estate in Wester Ross in the Scottish Highlands now owned by the Scottish wildlife Trust and is their largest Estate.IV23 2RZ. See Scans.
