[Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Mackenzie & Dent, 1811]. An engraved map (printed surface 125 × 204 mm, sheet size 128 × 209 mm) with later hand-colouring. Engraved by R. Scott. Trimmed to the neatline at the top and right-hand edges; tiny thin patch to the ocean in the bottom left-hand portion reinforced on the verso; a good copy. A small map of the early settlements of New South Wales, from George Paterson's 'The History of New South Wales, from its First Discovery to the Present Time'. It is a reduced version of a map in David Collins' 'An Account of the English Colony in New South Wales' (1798-1802), itself based on John Hunter's 'Chart of the Coast between Botany Bay and Broken Bay surveyed in 1788 and 89 .' (1793). The imprint of the map incorrectly records the publisher as 'Mackinzie & Dent'.
