This strikingly beautiful wall map is one of the first regional maps of Spanish origin (Biblioteca Nacional, 2001:137). Oran, in Africa did belong to Spain at the time and to the archbishopric of Toledo. It carries the Royal and Ecclesiastical Coat of Arms.
