Denver Colorado Reconnaissance Map

Linen backed map mounted on wooden dowels. Hanging strings are still intact. This is a 1911 reprinting of the 1901 edition. Surveyed by the U. S. Geological Survey under the direction of George Otis Smith. Map measures approximately 33 x 19 inches. Overall in good condition with some cracking; small tear near top dowel; slight fraying to edges; bottom dowel is somewhat loose. Two library stamps on verso. Scale is 1: 12,500. This topographic map of Colorado's Front Range shows the city of Denver and the surrounding area extending from Brighton in the north to just south of the Arapahoe County and Douglas County boundary.
