For Mr. Tindal's Continuation of Mr. Rapin's History of England. (1745) Copper engraved interesting map illustrating an aborted attempt by the British to capture Cadiz during the War of Spanish Succession (1700-1714), with ships on the coast and a very nice title cartouche, with index. Made by Basire, for ´Mr Tindal’s continuation of Mr Rapin’s History of England´, 1745. Good-very good condition. Some minor repairs, not affecting the image. Right margin extended with antique paper. Folds as published. Otherwise excellent. Image 45 x 37,5cm, sheet 49,5x39,5cm.
