This is a rare map covering Washington County, TN. The scale is 1 inch = 1 mile. The detail is remarkable. Individual homes and farms are shown. The legend contains 57 different classifications in three columns. the first volume covers homes, farms, sawmills, country clubs, water supply stand pipes, etc. The second column designates the class and composition of roads. The third column covers state highway garages, county seats, other towns and villages railroads, grade crossings population in thousands, narrow stream, wide stream and many more. There are ten inset maps; Boone Miller Siding, Telford, area east of Johnson City and Embreeville Junction among others. I can find no record of this map ever being sold on the map market. Very good with slight tanning on the right edge.
