This folded map - folded size being 5.125 x 8.875 inches and the unfolded size being 25 x 35.5 inches - folded to make 40 panels - is the Yosemite National Park Guide Map of 1936 - as stated on the front panel. This copy is in beautifully fine condition with virtually no time wear or damage to the unfold map. The folds are clean, the edges are virtually As New, and the paper still bright white. The one side of the unfolded map gives extensive details and descriptions about Yosemite National Park - with highlights of what to do and see, where to camp, warning about bears, and available stores and lodging. The unfolded side with the maps shows four separate maps - by far the biggest is a topographical map of Yosemite National Park - showing roads and trails as well as lakes and streams - and with three additional maps showing the western United States with Yosemite - a California regional map with the road systems leading up to the park - and a map of Yosemite valley. The condition of this item is exceptional.
