Colour printed map 90x50cm. Fine, neatly folded into 10 sections as issued. This presents an unusual and beautifully drawn birds-eye view of the whole of the Peninsula seen from the south. It takes in much of North East Africa from Algeria to the Sudan, with the distant horizon bounded by Portugal and Karachi. Geographical features and settlements are labelled. Palestine has an asterisk next to it with footnote stating "Where state of Israel was established in 1948". No publisher or date are given, but it was prepared for Aramco in 1980. The cartographer is named as Don Thompson. Thompson's work for Aramco included illustrations for its high profile publications such as Aramco World magazine.
