Colour maps on a single sheet 80x51cm. Near fine, folded. The sheet is undated c1972. The Defense Mapping Agency was established on 1 July 1972, although this is still referring to the Trucial States rather than UAE. The main map, 1/4.4M, shows Ostans and Governorships, rail, various qualities of road and track, airfields, major ports, settlements of various sizes, oil and gas pipelines. Smaller maps show Land Use, Population sizes and densities, and Economic Activity in 2 maps, one of which showing crops, sugar refineries, rug centers, cotton mills, and the northern limit of dates; the other oil and other extractive and heavy industries.
