Colour maps on a single sheet 81x51cm. Near fine, folded. The sheet is undated, c1972-3 quoting Census data for 1965, with the Defense Mapping Agency established on 1 July 1972. The main map, 1/2.35M, shows provinces, standard and metred railrways, various qualities of road, airfields, ports, oil pipelines, and settlements of various sizes. Smaller maps show the Population, Economic Activity (oil, electric, dates, grains, livestock), Land Use, and Ethnic Distribution. The latter highlights the locations of majority groups (Sunni Arab, Sunni Kurd, Shia Arab) and minorities (Yezidi, Turkoman, Iranian, Christian, Jewish, Mandaean).
